On hearing David play
"I am responsible for running one of the prime and sought after wedding and function venues in the district. I recently had the total pleasure of pianist David Robertshaw performing at a September wedding here with us.
It was the first time I had the fortune to meet this gentleman as the booking had been made directly through the bride and groom for their big day.
From my initial contact with David I knew that the bride and groom had chosen wisely, David made an appropriate appointment with me to view the facilities here in good time before the big day, and thereby ascertain the best location to perform his set on the day, this is a crucial element in the preparation for a major set piece for the biggest day of a couple lives together.
In the day of the wedding itself, David arrived set up and sound checked in good time and was in place and ready for the arrival of the bridal party for the celebrations. In the words of the groom to me, when he first arrived for the reception, to see and to hear that beautiful music made the perfect entrance for himself and his new wife.
Davids professionalism and skill level were both immaculate, his dress demeanour and deportment made a strong statement about him personally, the execution of his art was delightful and greatly admired and appreciated by all the wedding guests present for the celebrations (no easy task in my ample experience!)
I have fed back directly to David personally the comments I have expressed here, but I wanted to air my professional opinion to others who might be looking for a Top drawer performer for whatever type of event in the future and-that they couldn't really do any better than this young man for their big or small event, he is the perfect accompaniment to any function or celebration.

"Whilst we did not get to hear that much of David at our wedding drinks reception due to photography happening around the grounds; we knew from our sample session at home that he was the one for our wedding! Reviews from our guests have been that he was amazing! He totally set the scene, adapting his music to the culture an people around that day! He even played our first dance song which he took away and rehearsed having never played it before! My marks out of 10 would be 12 based on my own experience and how much my guests enjoyed being in the bar! We couldn't get them out of it to do photos! Thank you for completing the events of that day you were just what was needed to complete the atmosphere"

He provided the atmosphere we were looking for during the arrival of our guests and ourselves at our reception venue. He played for two hours but would have happily have him play longer.
